Payment Methods Policy

Only payment methods offered at Eyby checkout are allowed.

To help provide a safe experience, we only allow payment methods that offer strong protection for buyers and vendors.

 

What is the policy?

The following payment methods are not allowed:

  • Sending cash through mail

  • Point-to-point cash transfer services such as Western Union, MoneyGram etc.

Direct contact information can only be exchanged after Eyby checkout is complete. This includes asking buyers to get in touch with details of alternative payment methods.

The following payment methods are offered at Eyby checkout:

  • Mobile money transfers; (such as Mpesa)

  • Credit card or debit card

  • Payment upon pickup (for local transactions and as agreed upon by vendor and buyer)

Listings in some categories may offer the following additional payment options:

  • Bank-to-bank transfers (also known as bank wire transfers and bank cash transfers)

  • Cheques

  • Money orders

  • Online payment services (such as PesaPal, PayPal)

 

Activity on Eyby is required to follow this policy, the Eyby User Agreement and all applicable laws, as well as respect the rights of third parties. If it doesn’t, Eyby may take action consistent with applicable laws and the Eyby User Agreement, and may even be legally required to do so. Such actions may include, as an example only: Removing the listing or other content, issuing a warning, restricting activity or account suspension.
