Misrepresentation of Identity Policy

At Eyby, we do not allow members to misrepresent themselves as Eyby employees or as other users. Impersonation can lead to confusion, fraud, and a loss of trust among members.

What is the policy?
  • Users are prohibited from impersonating Eyby staff or other members.

  • Personal information such as usernames, passwords, or credit card details should never be shared or requested via email or other unofficial channels.

Guidelines

If any member misrepresents their identity, Eyby may take action, which could include:

  • Removing the listing or content in violation.

  • Issuing warnings or restricting activity.

  • Suspending the user’s account.

Reporting Suspicious Activity

Members should report any suspicious emails or activities where someone falsely claims to be Eyby staff or another member. This can be done through Eyby’s official reporting system.

Additional Information

Eyby will never request sensitive information like passwords or payment details via email. Any necessary requests will be made directly through the Eyby platform or via official communication channels, such as SMS or phone calls, for added security. This approach clarifies that requests can be made via both the platform and phone communication, while emphasizing the secure nature of these channels. It adds flexibility for phone communication without compromising security.

Why does Eyby have this policy?

This policy helps protect the privacy and safety of our users, ensuring a secure platform for all transactions. Misrepresentation of identity leads to fraud risks, and we are committed to preventing such activities.
