Temporary Strainers

Temporary strainers are used for a limited time during start-up or when modifying existing pipe systems and are later replaced. These strainers remove sediment and coarse debris such as rags, pipe scale, welding rods, and rust from pipelines and water to protect valves, pumps, meters, and other mechanical equipment. Strainer types or shapes include cone, basket, and plate (or flat).
